Ha! Good question. I'd like to think they won't ever charge a fee. I do know that some of my favorite websites began charging a fee in the last year, and needless to say, they are no longer my favorites. When Answers starts to charge money, it'll go the way of the other websites I used to visit that now want $$$. I'll stay away. There's too much other free stuff to do on the net.
Let me work this out. Pay 5p to ask, get 2p for answering, 10p for a Best Answer, 1p for voting, 3p for choosing a Best Answer... I'm beginning to like this idea.... Loads of questions repeated over and over again. Perhaps points would mean payrizes... Then there would be administrative overheads, and currency conversion charges. I'm not sure the books would balance... Oh dear.. End of Yahoo Answers.

That is unlikely as people will leave in their thousands.
