if you are on a budget a freshwater tank is the way to go. saltwater are pricey to start, not so bad to maintain if you have just fish, but a start up can cost you anywhere from 500, because you cannot use the stuff in the kits, they all have to be rated for saltwater, since you know your tank size

browse this sight for fresh and marine fish and decide from there.
first time aquarium definitly get freshwater, saltwater is much more complicated, expensive, and not as fun, if you want a saltwater tank for the beautiful fish, most african cichlids look alot cooler then most saltwater fish
also for purchasing your tank, if you live in a good sized town your best place to buy an aquarium would be craigslist, lots of people have great deals on there and most of the time youl find tanks with all the supplys 50% less then youd pay for a new one
Different type of fish if you have fish that lived in the ocean you have to buy salt water. And fresh water tank is just like spring water and the different type of fish u buy
different fish
saltwater fish aquarium need more work
get goldfish 4 starters
