For characters,or just that you have heard. And how would you picture the people with specific names? This is not for a story for me it's just out of curiosity :)
This two characters are actually part of my current story. (*For Sloane, that's not her real name, I'm still looking. It's just of a filler.)
-Sloane: A slender, agile woman with platnium blonde/white hair and amber eyes. She's dressed in a tight, white button up, a black vest, low dark skinny jeans, exposing some of her hips and knee-high, high- healed combat boots.
- Booker: A tall, muscular man with medium lenght, shaggy raven black hair and deep, slate grey-blue eyes. He's dressed in a black Henley shirt and dark jeans and boots. Around his neck, hang two wedding rings: his and his bride's.
I absolutely love the name Shoshanna and variants.I saw a family in a TV programme with mother Soshanna and daughter Aliyah but variants such as Aaliyah are also nice.A personal favourite of mine is Millie-Emilie and variant spellings but it sounds stupid with the alliteration.Common names mean a common acting character, an unusual name adds so much flare.A lot of young authors use the "no name after anyone I know" technique which works but you'll have a lot of time searching name websites!Try names from other regions that sound as if they would fit, such as Mai, Lucía, Mima, Myra…there are many out there. Avoid double barrelled names in writing as you want a short and snappy name…avoid over four syllables.
Let me give you examples: Mima or Myra, I think, might be quite mysterious. I find the names mysterious-sounding. Lucille would be very fancy and curious; it is a French descended and fancy name. Of course not all people will fit this so write the character first then choose a name
I am in love with the name Phoenix, I don't know why. Also there is Arizona, Austin, Dallas....I have a thing for American states/Cities. I also love the name Cheyenne, after the Native American tribes. Lakota isn't bad as well, almost Dakota.

Are all good names too. Piper is another one of my favourites.
I absolutely love Kelandry (the name and character). Would've considered it for my daughter but I actually have a best friend nicknamed Kel–short for Mikkel–and we didn't want to use honor names. Go for it!
For a girl I`d like Lucy-Anne. I see in my mind a small petite girl dressed in tights and a knee length dress that has a simple flower pattern with long chestnut brown hair in plaits or braids.
For a boy I was thinking Denis: a guy with normal shorts and a t-shirt playing soccer. Nothing special, just the name
I knew a girl named Shaleigh. I guess it wasn't all that weird, but I was mesmerized, lol. I remember going home and telling my mom that I was going to name my future daughter that. Obviously that has changed, but I still think it is a unique and pretty name!
I like Dorian for a boy, I picture him dressed in a Victorian suit like Dorian Grey haha and for a girl like Ivy I have no idea what she would wear or look like but I like the name.
