I have used veet debut hair removal cream before and it was fine. I ran out, and so today I bought veet dry skin hair removal gel cream, which involves using a (bladeless) razor to scrape off the hair. The minimum time to leave the cream on is 3 minutes and the maximum is 6. I did a test patch on my leg and it was fine. I put more onto my legs and armpits. After 3 minutes, the hair did not come off immediately so I waited, as instructed. I may have waited about a minute or less over the maximum time, but either way, now my armpits and legs are covered in little pink dots and occasionally they sting. Please help me out, how do I get rid of these? I'm wearing a short dress tonight and need to fix this!

Dont use it again, and use a facial concealer to cover the red.
Ugh!
Had the same thing happen to me with a Veet product that, if my memory is right, you could use in or out of the shower. Regardless it had that bladeless razor thing you mentioned.
I was fine when I did a test patch. Same as you, most of the hair did not easy come off so I left it one for a little while longer. Still wasn't really satisfied with the results ( definatly not liek the woman in the commercials!!! ) but rinsed it all off and cut my losses. Not long after taht I broke out in small pinkish blotchyness.
I put some lotion on (non perfume). I always use Cocoa Butter so I layered that on and took a dose of Benadryl in case it was an allergic reaction or something. The stinging and the redness went away quite quickly.
Prob easier to shave or wax!
Ya I wouldn't use hair removal creams again, they have so many chemicals in them that they literally burn the hair out. I suggest aloe vera then put a light lotion on. If it don't go away on your legs, wear panty house and just keep your arms down, nobody will notice unless you say something and thats a promise.
I'm guessing it's irritation.
If you have anything like Solercaine or a soothing lotion, try using that.
Otherwise, google "soothe irritated skin".
And next time, don't use that crap on areas that are that sensitive. Instead, opt for waxing, epilating, or go old-school and shave. I personally epilate, as I can do it at home without paying someone every week or making ineffective waxes at home.
Cool water may help to reduce the redness, and an anti-histamine if its an allergic response. Otherwise, maybe tights?!
that will happen. those hair removal creams are FULL of chemicals.
everyone reacts to different chemicals differently. when you use chemicals on your body, you have to be prepared for the consequences.
be very gentle. i would put some soothing cream like aloe or something.
cool water can help u
