No the worst that will happen is you may feel a bit nauseous.
These vitamins are water-soluble and will leave you body quickly with frequent urination so start drinking water and don't do it again as I will call you a retard if you do.
LOL. You're not going to die. You and your friends probably had stomach aches, because you guys were so nervous about the vitamins. I don't think you will cause harm from doing that one time in your life. If companies are going to make vitamins or medicine look like candy, they have to be sure not to make it harmful if unparented kids accidentally get in to them.
I think once your body absorbs all the vitamins and nutrients it needs for the day, it just filters all the rest out of your body. So I guess it could make your kidneys work a little more, because kidneys are what filters out the nutrients in your body, but it won't cause your kidneys to work too hard. Vitamins are not drugs or medicine. They are something the body needs to function, but I don't think you can overdose on vitamins.
Too much of a good thing can have unexpected consequences. Just ask people who have gulped gallons of carrot juice, which is rich in beta carotene, only to find that the palms of their hands and the soles of their feet turned a dull yellowy orange.
The carrot-juice syndrome is generally thought to be harmless and reversible, but overdosing on some other vitamins and minerals can have serious side effects.
Vitamin A
Gorging on this vitamin compound in doses of more than 25,000 IUs (five times the RDA) can lead to liver damage, hair loss, blurred vision and headaches.
Bitamin B-6
Ingesting more than 400 mg a day (200 times the RDA) can cause numbness in the mouth and hands and difficulty in walking.
Vitamin C
It was once believed to cause kidney stones, but experts now say there is no solid evidence of dangerous side effects from vitamin C. High doses can produce stomachaches and diarrhea.
Vitamin D
In daily doses of 50,000 IUs (125 times the U.S. RDA), the sunshine vitamin can cause the buildup of calcium deposits that can interfere with the functioning of muscles, including heart tissue. While sunbathing will never create an overdose, taking too many supplements can.
Niacin
Doctors prescribe doses of 2,000 mg (100 times the RDA) to help lower cholesterol. But patients who take that much should be monitored for possible symptoms of jaundice and liver damage.
Iron
Those who want to bolster their red blood cell count, especially elderly people and menstruating women, have been taking iron supplements for years. Daily doses higher than 100 mg (six times the RDA) could interfere with absorption of zinc, a mineral that speeds wound healing and helps regulate the immune system.
cobsistantly over dong it on vitamins can be bad for your liver because most vitamins are water soluable and what your body does not use it processes out through your liver as vitamins.
One day is not going to make much difference.
your stomach aches are due to the amount of sugar plus the stres you are creating worrying about it.
any vitamins you don't absorb into your body will leave tonight or tomorrow when you pee.
Watch for a bright green or sometimes orange color. Don't freak out when that happens either it's just your body working.
If it was just a one off nothing will happen if you do that everyday your sure to get some form of failure. you will properly just have a bad time on the loo that all of you do start feeling ill (like seriously ill) not just stomach aches contact nhs direct or go see your doctor
hope this helps
Call the poison control hotline at 1-800-222-1222. If possible, have the package or container with you. Even if you don't, though, call them. They can give you the best answer.
Call now. Before your spelling deteriorates any more...
Vitamin overdose is generally not harmful, but if these pills contained minerals as well as vitamins, such as iron, you could become very sick. You should find out the brand and contact your local hospital or poison clinic (see the phone book for details) and have the risk assessed.
call the company and see if the viatmins contain anything that could be potentially harmful to ur health...i dnt think ull die or anything but u should call the hospital or talk to ur parents
just tell ur parents, they wont be mad. u didnt do anything wrong at all. they can call the poison control center to get an opinion but you are probably finee.
Im sure it will be fine. You may have a bit of trouble when going to the loo but other than that, you'llbe ok. Get your mum to check with your GP to be sure.
