The meaning of "SIT-DOWN WITH HOOPS"?
Hi.
I am a Japanese comic fan and was reading new "KICK-***".
There were a phrase I couldn't understand.
"SIT-DOWN WITH HOOPS"
A woman is having a lunch with a man and a man says:"Your mom says you're looking for a job. You want me to set up a sit-down with hoops?" A woman replies, "Thanks. But I think you forget that I know what hoops gets up to at those clubs?"
What does "SIT-DOWN WITH HOOPS" mean in this phrase?
I looked up a dictionary but it didn't help. So I'm glad if I can get the answer here.

By Sit-down they mean a meeting. Like a meeting at his office, at lunch, or at a boardroom table.
I will assume that "Hoops" is a person or organization. A sit-down is a meeting of sorts, generally an informal one.

My best guess is that Hoops is a person or character. Maybe it is someone's nickname? In that case, a "sit-down" would be a "chat" or getting together with someone to talk to them.
