Haven't noticed that, to be honest. The real nutters seem to lurk behind the standard Yahoo! pictures, in my experience

Right down to my overly tired Mommy of small children ponytail and sensible clothes and glasses (lost time and patience for contacts years ago). Spirtually speaking, in a way I suppose, my avatar is far more perky than I feel each day as I am carrying the burdens of everyday life. (Just like everyone else here!) I think my sprit is perkier than my mortal self!

Maybe it's just the crazy people that use them. Personally, I like the people who have kitteh avatars.
