get some professional help then. Bulimia is unhealthy and can destroy your esophagus, your teeth, your hormones, etc. If you want to lose weight do it the healthy way by eating healthy and exercising
Get help for it. I know somebody that was bulimic for a couple years. Really, bad...not at first, but then it became a problem for her. Now 4 years later, she is married, and her body from all the trauma of bulimia, she cannot carry a child. She has been trying to get pregnant, and her body keeps rejecting the baby. There is no saying that she will ever be able to. She is 3 months pregnant right now, and is in the hospital...her body cannot handle the pregnancy. Do you want to have long term effects from this? You can go on a healthy diet, and exercise. Eat right, you only get one body don't abuse it.
I think you know deep down inside you need to get better and stop your bulimia. You may need to go to a doctor or clinic to get better. In any case, don't feel ashamed to do that. There are so many people, both men and women, with bulimia who have to go to clinics to get better.
Being bulimic is not a natural habit to have. It's something you have started doing and now you are having a hard time stopping. You are causing terrible health problems for yourself by being bulimic and you are also ruining your teeths enamel.
Ask God to help you. Ask your parents to help you. I know you want help b/c you are asking us if you should stop. That means you have doubt within yourself about what you're doing. Pray. Ask God to help you. He will send you what you need, as He always has!
Like other diseases, bulimia is tied to psychological reasons. Maybe you were teased at a young age about your weight, you idolize thin celebrities, whatever. What you have to do is find a weight that YOU are comfortable with, not what society sees as beautiful, and work your way to it. Eat healthy and work out. Find out ways you can do this without throwing up. It deprives your body of nutrients, therefore losing weight not by healthy habits, but by starving your body. You don't want to look sickly but healthy. Try replacing certain foods with healthier items, and snack on fruit or cereal. I buy the chocolate Special K or Honey Bunches of Oats, they are still healthy options but I get my sugar fix. I have a HUGE sweet tooth.
I really have no idea what you are going through internally since I am not bulimic, but I hope you can come to terms with it, and really find out what the true cause of this problem is. Ask yourself why it started or what satisfaction do you really get from it?
No sweetheart, it's your body that's saying. "EAT EAT EAT!!!!" and your mind is saying otherwise.
Your peers are right - you need to stop the bulimia. It's perfectly fine if you want to lose weight, but you need to do it in a healthy way, because believe it or not, bulimia can KILL you.
Try eating more fruits and vegetables, exercise often, and try not to stress out a whole lot (stress can actually help you gain weight)
Talk to a therapist or a nutritionist, they can help you to stop the bulimia, and give you more tips on how to keep the weight off, you know?
Please take care of yourself. I don't know if it means anything to you, but I will be praying. :)
This is going to sound like it came straight from a shrink, but it's said from the heart, so please, please, listen to me.
First of all, I'd like to say that I think you've been really strong to fight against this when it seems as though you don't have much help from anyone. Well done, girl.
Now, for some tough love; you need to eat properly, and you need to control the reflexes that are making you want to be bulimic; it's unhealthy, and it can ruin your life. I know these are all things you've heard before, but that doesn't mean it's any less true.
If you have trouble doing this on your own, please get some help. If you have someone you're really close to, ask them to help you, or go see a school nurse or counsellor. Very few people can do this without help, and I suggest you find someone you can trust and who will understand your situation.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.in some cases you must listen to your head..this is not one of those cases . With this you must listen to your gut. i know that throwing up is not a pleasant experience and your probably hungry all the time because of your puking all habits.I know you can discontinue you bulimic habits. Anybody can do ANYTHING if they put there mind to it.If this continues bad health conditions can occur like cardiac arrhythmia, esophageal tears, electrolyte disturbances, gastrointestinal problems, and dental problems.Or even worse you could starve to death. If you want to loose weight the only way to do it is with A good diet carb counting for example get involved with some kind of new physical activity. or get a gym membership. talk to a friend or a family member and get them to come work out with you. it's a lot easier to commit to working out when you have someone to work out with. If all else fails i say phunk what other people think learn to love yourself the way you are.I hope I've been helpful
i will't rather communicate approximately bulimia, I dealt with anorexia for particularly it sluggish nevertheless. as quickly as I get under pressure, I nonetheless completely lose my urge for nutrients and ought to truly fall back into my previous types, yet i'm attentive to it now. that's a sizable area. whether i'm down and do merely not desire to consume, i comprehend I might desire to. I even have made exercising (a healthful quantity-not something too loopy) a huge area of my existence. i comprehend which will administration my weight to maintain it at a low, yet healthful point and that i additionally comprehend that I might desire to consume adequate nutrients to offer me the ability to paintings out. it may not sound like a proper "fix" yet i are turning out to be administration over the affliction and it would not administration me anymore.
No, don't continue it!
The vomit is damaging your esophogus, and that can lead to cancer.
Its also damaging your teeth, and they can rot and fall out!
Get help from a professional. VIsit a counselor or ask your doctor to refer you to one.
You can get rid of this disease, but you need treatment. If you have the flu, you're not going to get better by thinking "i'm not going to have this flu anymore." In the same way, you're not going to get over bulimia by thinking "I'm not going to do this anymore." You need the help of a medical professional. While you are in treatment, there are a variety of other diets you can follow to loose the weigh you have gained back.
Best of luck to you!
you should talk to a doctor first. i think your mind already knows that its not good for you to be bulimic, but you can't help it if you want to lose more weight you should lose it by a healthier diet and more excersize. I've also heard that bulimia is very bad for your teeth, by like rotting and decaying them from all of that stomach acid.
