Hey everyone in the fishing community i want to know what fly patterns will work well for the pink run this summer/spring. I got all the gear just need some good flies to tie for them, i am fishing on Vancouver Island and fishing from shore if that helps in any way. Thanks ahead of time.

it works great in southeastern alaska for humpies so i imagine it will work down there too. if you are in salt water, retrieve with short jerks(giving a few seconds for it to sink). if you are in a river, dead drift it till 3/4 through the swing the short jerks keeping about 3 inches under water.
Do they have Pink Salmon up there this year? Because in Washington it's always odd years that have Pink Salmon runs. But anyways I think any type of streamers will work well for Pink Salmon, of course everyone uses pink so I'd say find some pink flies. Here's a link from a forum that shows some of the things they used while fly fishing. If anything you can try asking them for some more tips, they'll share info with you. Also remember to just look for schools jumping in the area, if you don't see any jumping, might as well just move on.
