Basically in messy terms, I'm working under contract and the only above person me is my "boss" (contractor).
Last month I was $42.50 underpayed, this month I've been payed about a third of my paycheque ($204 instead $605). I did bring up the discrepancy last month and that has yet to be resolved.
As a university student with some rather crippling social anxiety, I don't exactly have the option to find a new job. But I also have no idea how to broach this topic, let alone straight up ask for $400 (even if it is technically mine). I intend to send an email with a breakdown of my hours.
Should add that I don't believe the company's going out of business (contrary to what my paycheque says); it expanded recently and is busier than ever.
Any advice for how to better deal with this or how to word the email to my boss?

Your counselor can help you with this
Sometimes it's good to be uncomfortable. It means your stretching yourself.
I don't think there's any problems here, accept for the social anxiety. So I think this is a safe place for you to go outside your comfort zone a bit. It'll be good for you.
Get prepared for it. Some mediation would help. If you don't do meditation, then maybe just sit and relax for a minute. Then go talk to who ever you need to talk to.
You could send an email and then follow it up with a phone call.
If your not up to, that's cool too. I think an email is fine.
