hi i have a mondeo 2.0 tddi 2001 i have a problem it has no power wont rev past 3000rpm in the top 3 gears ok in bottom 2 but still lacks power. i had it plugged into diagnostic machine it came up with air flow meter and fuel delivery. iv changed fuel and air filter map sensor maf sensor crank sensor. there is no lights on the dash start fine surges somtimes on tickover and 3000rpm when held there. could this be egr valve? of has anyone any ideas. regards rob
Update:iv changed the airflow meter 3 times (maf sensor)

i was going to say air flow meter just off reading your title..
and saying as that you've had a diagnostic test, and it's came up with that...i'd be willing to put money on it being that..
you can't tell just by looking at it, if it's broken.
but you do have all the signs
other main problem with your car are the programmed injectors
Have you changed the air flow meter this is the part that is fitted to the air intake pipe on the air box with an electrical socket attached because according to what you say, you have changed you don't mention that you changed the airflow meter which the diagnostic says is faulty
It is possible that it is the EGR; they sometimes trigger fault codes to do with the mass airflow sensor. Other possibilities could be problems with the turbo or the engine having jumped timing slightly.
the venture you have is the actuator on your quicker is defective and is conserving the gate close,this prevents the engine from going above 3000 revs and as you have replaced the airflow meter it needs to bypass on a diagnostic device to cancel the errors codes
