Metal Gear Solid?
Im trying to get into the metal gear series but the s many prequils sequils and times lines i dont no whit one to play first.
Can some one tell me witch games take place where (please dont tell me to play it in order from 1 to 2 to 3 like that because i know number 3 take place before number 1.
I want to no the story from begining to end
ill give and example
1) Metal gear solid 1 "ps1"
2) metal gear soldid Twin snakes "gc / pc"
3) Metal gear soldid 4 sons of patriots "ps3"
i know thats not right but the what i mean
Or you could list in in the order thatmakes the most since.
Be sure to include and nintendo versions IF the make sence.
Also include remakes of earlier games

Sorry to give it to you this way. If you want the whole story play them in order from when they came out. I know you said not to say that but the twist at the end of some games makes it more worth playing. But for the time order this is my best answer:
MGS3: Snake Eater (PS2)
Metal Gear (NES)
Metal Gear Snake's Revenge (NES)
MGS1/Twin Snakes (PS1/GC)
MGS2 (PS2)
MGS4 (not released but PS3)

ok the story is very long but very intriguing and i suggest you go from 1-3 (it will make more sense) ,but if not then i think you should go from 3 then onto 1 and then onto 2 which is the way you requested in your question that will explain the story perfectly and a great story that is .4 is set to release next year ,the nintendo version has not really got much to do with the story but twin snakes is a great game .i could go on but im afraid the stuff that i would be telling you will contain spoilers and i suggest you get into the storyline of mgs series yourself, as it is has great gameplay accompanied by a superb storyline mgs will be a game you wont forget
