Meeting girls in college?
I understand the basics, but my real problem is my housing and class situation. I live in a mostly male engineering building at Cal Poly SLO. Thus all my classes are mostly male engineers. Whats the best way to get myself involved in, frankly, a less nerdy scene and with girls as well as guys that share my attitude. Thanks :)

Hang out with students who study nursing, business and social work. Better chances to meet cooler students.
Join societies and clubs outside of your friend circle. Try and get some of your friends to introduce you to their friends and take it from there.
Also, sitting in the library or cafes without headphones in can often lead to conversations with others. If you wear headphones you're shutting yourself off.
Bars and clubs are good if you just want a quick fix. :P
