Rewrite y = x2 + 14x + 29 in general form.
-Rewrite y = 3x2 - 24x + 10 in general form.
-Create your own quadratic equation and demonstrate how it would be solved by graphing, factoring, the quadratic formula, and by completing the square.
Just these three please??

General form of a quadratic equation is the quadratic equation in the form ax^2 + bx + c. Therefore, the first two equations are already in general form.
My quadratic equation is x^2 + 10x - 24 = 0.
Graphing - I would graph the equation and find the values of x that lie on the x-axis, where y=0.
Factoring - I would multiply 1 and -24, and then find factors of that product that add up to 10. I would then split 10x into yx and zx, where y and z are the factors that add up to 10. I would then group the terms into x^2 + yx and zx - 24. I would then take out factors so that the expression left in each set of parentheses is the same. I would then undo the distirbutive property to get my two sets of parentheses.
Quadratic Formula - I would plug in 1 for a, 10 for b, and -24 for c in the quadratic formula, and then simplify.
Completing the Square - I would find out (b/2)^2, and then a certain amount to make the constant equal b^2 / 4. I would then add that same number to the other side of the equation. Then, I would take the square root of each side, and solve for x by subtraction/addition.
you need to indicate where the 'power' is, usually using ^
so x2 is probably x^2 ?
Are these for your homework or a test?
