Is kick boxing a good workout? I am 13 and I used to get my work out by playing soccer but I quit cuz the girls were getting really bitchy. I have gained weight since I quit and I am no longer at a healthy weight so I am in search of a good fun workout...could kick boxing be what I need??

Kick boxing should be plenty of fun and it'll grow with you into more useful skill as a girl grows older. Plus physical contact sports builds great trust in friendships. Get a good teacher, have a few good training partners and you'll enjoying a good workout before you know you're losing weight.
