On Saturday morning(11/15/14)I was pulled over in Staten Island. The cop said "license and registration"and I said"why am I being stopped?" His response was"no front license plate." (My car is registered in Pa front plates are not required)I answered it's not required for pa. He then said yes it is and I had to give him my info. As he went to his car I grabbed my phone and recorded. He told me to get out and he placed me under arrest. He said my license was suspended(maybe unpaid parking ticket from New York months earlier). He placed me in his car and breathalized me(I passed).i also had a warrant from 2008 for trespassing I was 16(I was skateboarding at my school). My girlfriend was crying because I was being arrested and she was left in an unfamiliar place with no phone(her battery died). I pleaded for the cop to give her my phonehe did after 10 minutes of begging. The cop said"everyone wants to get an attitude with a cop til they get their ******* head bashed the **** in"(on recording)before he gave my girlfriend my phone. THE REST IS IN MY COMMENT IM UNABLE TO WRITE IT ALL ON THIS.

You were not stopped unlawfully. You didn't have a front plate. Simple. Had you handed over your license and registration, the cop would have seen you were from out of state and that probably would have been the end of that.
But no. You had to play big man on campus. Take note of this:
When you are driving, you are REQUIRED to hand over your license and registration as soon as they ask, not ask why. You AGREED to this when you got your license, if you didn't agree you wouldn't have gotten your license - it's that simple.
Reading you your miranda rights was not necessary.
We went to122 precinct where I was processed then120 precinct to be booked. Not once was i mirandized. At court I was issued another ticket Idk what for and let go. I feel I was stopped unlawfully. I havethe mail for the parking ticket and none of it saysmy license was suspended.I went to the pa dmv website to restore my license. It says my license is valid there is no suspension.I willpay my fineand getting this doneIm not looking to get out of it but it wasn't right and the cop abused his poweronme.I was abused by the law and I want to know if I can take action here? Any advice?
You could have avoided all this by just handing over your license and registration when asked. Was it worth all this just make a point about your "rights"?
