Don't Get Me Wrong, Firefox Is A Superb Browser And The Addons-- Well, They Just Can't Be Beat.
I Do Find On Both My Computers That IE7 Renders More Pages Slightly Faster And There Are Some Pages That Firefox Just Won't Render Properly.
I Have Employed Some Of The Tweaks One Can Make In Firefox To Make It Faster And I Still Find IE Faster If Just Barely.
Anyone Who Has XP Service Pack 2, Whether They Use IE Or Not, Should Install IE7 For Security Alone.
In Any Version Of IE Previous To 7 You Can Actually Type In An Address On The Hard Drive And It (The Internet Browser) Will Open It. Say, Type In C:\ And Poof, There You Are Looking At The Contents Of Your C Drive ON THE NET. And Anyone Else Can Exploit That Trick Too. With IE7, That Is Gone. If You Try And Open Your Hard Drive With IE7 Windows Explorer Opens And If You Try An Internet Address In Windows Explorer, IE7 Opens.
Even Firefox 3.01 Fails This. A Security Threat In My Opinion. Even If You Have "No Script" Or Many Other Security Addons From Mozilla.
Don't Get Me Wrong Here, I Like Them Both. Both Have Things They Are Good At And Bad At.
I Use Both, I Like Both, But I Like IE7 Just A Touch More.
Whatever Works That Makes You Happy Right?
edit: I Just Want To Clear Something Up Before I Get Flamed. If You Want To Use An Internet Browser As A FTP Server/Client, That's Your Business. If I Have My Server Service Disabled Then No Other Browser In The World Should Be Able To Open My Hard Drive.
Firefox 2, because all the great add ons I had with firefox 2 do not work with firefix 3. When you have not used firefox before, you could install either firefox 2 or 3. Better than ie7. Why.?? Because it is not a microsoft product.
