If you have no baggage you can be in the Navy within 60 days of first talking to the recruiter. If you have baggage that needs to be straightened out, then it will take longer. (DUI, failed the board exam, over weight, health issue, etc.)
Good question...if it was for anything other than nursing I could answer...I don't know if the military has special dispensation for nurses like they do Dr's or not.

All the branches always have a need for nurses. If you meet all the other qualifications you have an excellent chance to become a Navy nurse.
