only one thing to do - ring the bank and increase your limit - then you wont have the embarrassment of the card being refused.
if you have got £500 .. you are half way there - why not save up the other £500 - then you have no worry about debt!

Conversely, if the system could not handle such a situation, then theoretically you could go and spend your 500 Pound credit limit several times over. You cannot do this of course. This is because the computer updates your current balance and the amount you can spend.
If I were you I would pay cash $500 and charge $500 - make your payments on the credit card, and then ask them to raise your limit. It would be faster.

not sure what is L500 is that british money and how much would that be american money? I think if you have at least half of the purchase price you should be able to.
