There are a few possibilities. Wrong type of RAM and you forced it into the sockets, or right type, but you forced it in backwards. Bad RAM. The computer can't take the size of the RAM boards. You knocked a connector loose when you were moving things around. Probably many others.

according to the user manual that combination of lights means "memory modules are detected but a memory failure has occcoured".
Have you tried removing the new memory?
Are you sure you purchased the correct memory for the machine?
