I have a sprinkler valve that is making a humming sound also. Can youy just rebuild it?
I have a drip system at my house. The valve is making a humming sound. Do I have to replace it or can I just repair / rebuild it.
Update:Ok here is some additional information. The noise was more line a train whistle. I had t change the Preasure Regulator. So if you have a drip system and it sounds like a freight train change the Pressure Regulator. A new one is only $10.

You can try to repair it. the small parts should cost you very little money. If you can't then buy another one.
