Has anyone ever told the wife/long-time girlfriend about an affair?
What happened if you did? I am asking because I've recently confessed to the long-time girlfriend that her boyfriend and I had a sexual relationship. We talked, I answered all her questions and now I am hoping this is truly over. I'm human so there is still an attraction to the man but I know it's no good. What are the chances he'll contact me? Has anyone ever experienced the man coming back to them even after you've told the wife/girlfriend?

I never told anyone because I never messed with someone who was taken. But, someone told me before and I'm glad they did. Everyone needs to know their being made a fool of and let them decide if they want to continue to be one.....not you or him.
I haven't been in this situation but one of my friends was told by her husband and her mistress together that they were having an affair. My friend was separated for about a year before she got back together with her husband. Her husband now has no contact with his ex-mistress about 1-2 years after getting back together with his wife. However, now the wife may be going out and doing her own thing, so there is a chance they could split up again and he would see the mistress again.
I have never been in that situation before (because I would never iknowingly and willingly try to get on someone else's partner--that's disgusting) but I imagine if I ever were, I wouldn't tell.
Let's be honest: you probably told her so they would get into a fight and you could end up with the cheater loser. Ew.
Nonetheless: you already played a part in betraying and destroying their relationship (along with him). What more do you want? Back off and find your dignity so this doesn't happen again.

I can guarantee if they do it wont be with her blessing....AND...you will be targeted for revenge sex by the man...he will sleep with you to get in your good graces again then dump you...;hurting you like you hurt the one he loved by telling her.
