Hi all! I'm almost 16 and I will be graduating at an IB Diploma School once I reach the age of 19. I've decided that NYU is my goal. I've spent hours on their website and other websites to find out as MUCH as I can about this University...
I go to this IB school in Spain (Far away, I know...) and I'm a fan of taking risks. Problem is I have no idea how to calculate my GPA and I just know my holistic grades from this term...
(Highest grade possible: 7)
English: 5
Spanish: 6
Science: 5
Math: 4
Drama: 4
PE: 4
Design: 5
(1,2,3 = fails)
(4 and up = pass)
So I passed this term. I've also heard to be accepted, you need other activities. My activities consist of Horse Riding, and since I am hoping to study Psychology in the school of Art and Science, I qualify as an equine-therapist the day I turn 16. (April of '15), this includes a certificate and a diploma for psychology, (In Europe), but like I said, I would love to study in the US. I horse ride 5 times a week and equine-therapy 3 times a week.
I just NEED to know what it takes to get into NYU, It's a dream guys.
Please, please, pleaaseee help me out!

NYC is a busy, crowded, extremely expesive city to live in. Have you ever lived in a large major city before?
Besides adjusting to US culture, university level classes, you wouldd be adjusting to life in a huge major city.
And what about costs? Can you afford it?
Are you going to be able to keep up with horseback riding in the middle of the city? Do they have the major you want?
Read their requirments for international student to apply. Do they require an outside service to convert your grades to US?
Is getting a Bachelor degree in Psycology going to do you any good for finding a job in Spain? You will not find a job in the USA.
Contact NYU admissions or international student office and ask about if you need to , how and where to get your grades converted to USA GPA.
You need to take the SAT exam. www.collegeboard.org
I would plan on taking it twice before you need to apply
