That´s a good question. In a Muay Thai match (which I think you imagine) I don´t really know who to pick. Pacquiao isn´t "just" a boxer with great hand speed, accuracy and big punching power for a man of his size (all this especially with MMA gloves on!), he also trained Muay Thai in past! Which means he likely knows how to deal with kicks also. No doubt that Aldo is an awesome striker (and a well rounded fighter by the way, which is why I think in MMA he would easiloy win). He´s a very fast and devastating kicker. But with his hands he absolutely can´t do what Manny does.

If I had to decide I´d pick Jose Aldo as I think he really is a tough dude and Pacquiaos thai training may be too long gone to survive those brazilians nasty kicks.

Since you just said that said bout is a stand up fight, then it only means a boxing rules and regulations are a matter that needs to follow.

There is no doubt that Jose Aldo is a great fighter and his records prove it since the time he started competing in MMA, but being a boxer is not fit with him, Manny Pacquiao will just beat up him if he plan to stand against him in the ring.

Jose Aldo hands has good hand speed and great footwork, but his knock out records is not that great compare to what Manny Pacquiao has, don't ever dream that he can handle things if he face Pacman, fighting against him is suicidal on part of Jose Aldo in boxing rules.
