I once read a book titled "Flying Serpents And Dragons, The Story Of Mankind's Reptilian Past.by R.A. Boulay." This book describes in detail how the human race was created by reptilian aliens. They created us and used us for mining purposes.
This is a very good book to read if you're into aliens and it was written by a Former CIA agent.
No i don't and i wouldn't trust it if i were you. Erich von Daniken actually seems to have had a pathological condition where he couldn't stop lying without any particular reason and a lot of his work is fabricated. Sitchin provides "translations" of Sumerian tablets which just don't correspond at all to what they say. These are of course both ad hominem arguments.
So to address the main issue. There are several insurmountable problems. Firstly, the "aliens" look like people. That's very improbable. There are lots of different types of organisms on this planet and most of them look nothing like people despite the fact that we're related to them. Aliens aren't related to us. Why would they look like vertebrates, let alone humans? Secondly, it simply defers the problem of the appearance of intelligence. If it's a mystery why it evolved here (and it isn't really), why would it be less of a mystery if it evolved elsewhere? Or is there an infinite regress? Thirdly, why is there such a close correspondence between the idea of sky-beings which are aliens and sky-beings which are deities or supernatural entities of other kinds? Aliens are just a response to secularism and an attempt to have it both ways - people accept what they see as a scientific world view, but it removes supernaturalism so they feel the need to posit beings which seem plausible without apparently contradicting science.
Its hard to say whether we were 'visited' by aliens in the past, and yes, I have heard of the Ancient Astronomer theory. In fact, many people have mixed it with the 2012 theory, in which, a supposed planet (Planet X, also known as Nibiru, which is now known to be a myth) contains Ancient Astronomers. This planet was supposed to have an orbit around our sun, that took a lot longer than one year to orbit once. The last time this planet took a spin close to our planet around the sun was thousands of years ago, at which time, Ancient people somehow got to the planet, and were taken with the orbit, and now, apparently, still reside on this planet that is supposed to take another orbit close to our planet in 2012. Of course, the existance of this planet was supposed to be clearly noticable by late 2009, and was not, so it is a myth. I dont know if aliens visited us in the past, nobody can say for sure. There are ancient sculptures and paintings of aliens, or some sort of beings that are using technology which we are only discovering today. So, how did these ancient people know about this technology, or even the slightest possibility of it existing one day? Nobody knows, but there are theories and documentaries on them.
Absolutely. Archeologists have found 20,000 year old caves with charcoal drawings of individuals in flying ships drawn on the walls. Ancient Pyramids found throughout the world, all have one side aligned with Magnetic North, which is different from the North found with a compass. Keep in mind that ancient civilizations visiting this planet destroys the foundations of religious beliefs, so understandibly that's why you'll get a negative response in the Religion section.
I believe that along with our current progress into space exploration and with other inventions being lost and recovered with time it's entirely possible. I don't have any links, but it shouldn't be hard to look it up on youtube, especially since it really is such an interesting concept.
Wishful thinking.
Yes, Buzz Aldrin is now 80. That's pretty ancient :-)
Google "the 12th planet"
No but I believe in Tudor airplanes.
