It will pass after awhile..your dealing with withdrawal.. try to find something to occupy your time and keep your mind off of it and if the smell of pot is around, try shampooing your carpet and washing down your walls to keep the smell away and wash any clothing, bed sheets ect. if you think they stink of the devil too. if you dont smell it, the temptation will be easier for you. try to stay away from people that smoke pot, that will also keep your temptation down.
as for sleep deprovation try ZZZquil. Its a non addictive sleep aid made by Vicks. My fiance and I both take it at night when we need to and it puts us right to sleep and we stay asleep throughout the night. Hope this helps and the best of luck to you friend.
I'm 42, and I have smoked EVERYDAY since i was 12... There is usually 2 types of withdrawal (and two types of addictions). There is a physical withdrawal (a physical addiction), the kind you have when addicts quits Heroin or something, this withdrawal makes you have physical problems, u get sick, throw up and can even have your body go into shock and die... that is physical and there are many things you NEED to do to help you quit, you can't just go cold turkey.. methadone is used to ease the quitting procedure.. then there is a psychosis addiction which is all mental... it doesn't make quitting MUCH easier, but it IS all in the mind. this addiction can be something as simple as biting your finder nails, smoking cigarettes, or pot. for people with compulsion disorders this is just as hard as quitting a physical addiction, but not as dangerous, and always possible. Mental addictions CAN give you physical withdrawal (to an extent) like you said, cold sweats, insomnia... but these are physical manifestations from your mind... you will not die. just like stopping biting your finger nails it will go away the farther you place the addiction in your mind. therefor, the less you use it and the less you 'think' about it.. the less the addiction has ahold of you. what i'm saying is, if you exercise your mind (your school exercises your brain...) do your mind... meditate..etc.. look within... it becomes almost as easy as flipping a switch... (y'know, the people that "only smoke cigarettes when they drink"...they are just flipping that switch) if you want to quit... if you really want to... all you need to do is tell yourself that... and put it in the farthest back corner of you mind... but that includes having friends around... mentioning it... smelling it... etc... the farther it gets back there.. the smaller the mental addiction has ahold of you... those Heroin addicts... they will almost always be addicted to it...
Now here is a shocker, cocaine ....crack... those are also psychosis addictions, its the high that gets in their mind and makes it hard for them to packge it up and put it into the back corner.
now you know, alot of people may disagree with what i just said... but then you'd have to also get to know them and find out what their motives for their reasoning are.
my motive is to enlighten you. everything i'm talking about, i have experienced. i'm 42, i just filed for long term disability, and haven't smoked a j for about 3 months... its no biggie. i'd really like a j sometimes. but alot of ppl NEED that beer when they get off work too... (the more you think of it the more 'type of addiction' you will be able to pick out')
Good luck! :)
It'll pass. You'll just have to wait. Don't do anything that stupid again.
