Rafael Nadal has won 6 Grand Slams and is only 22 years old. Federer won his first when he was 22. Rafa to appears to be winning at an alarming rate. He might win all 4 Grand Slams (French, US, Wimbledon, and Aussie Opens) in his career when all is said and done. What say you?

He could definitely (and probably will) win the remaining US Open title he has not captured as of yet - and he will win massive amounts of Slams as well, if he 1. continues to play and practice and improve at such a level and 2. if his knees and legs stay healthy.
It's going to be a great next 10 years in tennis! I wouldn't be surprised if he overtook Federer and Sampras, honestly.
What a rivalry!
Well it all depends on the game that Rafa continues to play. His style is wearing and he might not be able to continue as long as FED.
But at the present rate he is certainly on track to win all the grand Slam tourneys aka Agassi.
So tht might reopen the GOAT debate again unless FED wins the French Open. I am a FED fan and nothing wud be sweeter than FED equalling Sampras record of 14 at Roland Garros.
End Answer- No he shall not equal FED record.
He is well on his way but Rafa plays a really physically demanding style of tennis. I wouldn't be surprised to see him hit the wall early like many past greats. Also there are a lot of peers in his age group (Tsonga, Djokovic, Del Potro, Murray, etc.) that are going to win their share of majors. Roger is still great and vets like Blake and Roddick could be stumbling blocks on any given day. I say he gets to 12.
u know watching the finals today n listening to RAFA's speech he seems to be a very nice guy ... he even said SORRY to FED on his speech haha lolz ... well he is a humble player!! and very good! so i think he deserves to win this year n more more to come ... so i guess he could be next to SAMPRAS N FED in terms of Grand slam titles!
There is a great chance for him to reach those records. But,it is never easy practically watching the players like verdasco, tsonga, murray, djokovic, tipsarevic, cilic.Every player is strong enough to compete with nadal and federer. So,it is possible if nadal stays consistent with his game for upcoming years.
I think he will if he continue to be healthy and consistent with his game.
