I want to get a tattoo on my foot but will be home with my parents and don't want them to see it just yet. Call me rebellious or immature, I don't care. Just wondering if it's okay to keep it covered with socks other than when I'm in bed? And what do I do to it to keep it healthy while it's healing? Thanks!

If you're 18 and legally the right age to get a tattoo, don't bother hiding it from your parents. Trust me, I was that same exact way and I can promise you, THEY WILL KNOW. It's better to tell them, rather then tell them later. Also, you don't want to keep your tattoo covered 24/7. You won't be able to keep your tattoo hydrated/moisturized because the sock will brush everything off. Plus, a sock can stick to your moisturizer and can pull out some of the ink(personal experience)... So, just tell your parents, keep it uncovered as much as you can(unless I'm sunlight) and moisturized!
Yeah as long as its properly covered and cleaned afterwords.
