So I have had this Toshiba Laptop for around 3 years. About a year ago, the keyboard, for a mysterious reason, stopped working. It got To the point that the Enter key doesn't work, and now I'm stick in a 'Windows Resume Loader' screen.
I've decided to take my laptop to Best buy so they can fix the problem (or attempt to), and I was wondering, if they had to format and reset my computer, capfuls they be able to save my files (i.e. pictures, videos, music, games) and then reinstall them?
Thanks.

Yes. They can easily remove your hard drive from the laptop, connect it to any of their service machines, and back up whatever data you tell them to. And that's just one way of doing it as well. Will they do it for free? No.

Now.... you said
"games) and then reinstall them"
They will NOT just backup your games, as in copy them from wherever they are installed, and then just put them on the new installation. It's not possible to do that. Best Buy would either have to make a complete backup of the entire system, and then restore that backup (this would mean NOT reinstalling your copy of Windows fresh), or they would need the installation discs for the games. This is also not something they would do for free, and you would have to expect to pay for the service.
However, pictures, videos, music, documents... those are the things that are included in their backup service.
