I first saw this bug in my house and didn't get a good look at it. Then a few weeks later saw one at my work and grabbed a quick pic of it before it scurried off somewhere. I am just curious as to what this bug is, I am assuming that it is not poisonous or anything because I am still alive. Here is the pic of it.

It is a Silverfish. It is only looking around your house for Carbohydrates, like sugars or starches.
It does no harm to humans. This bug only cares about finding food.
The insect identification websites require:
-primary color
-secondary color
-how many legs
-wings
-pinchers or stinger
-location
Since I don't know where you're located, I'll say it's just a garden-variety Silverfish (aka Fishmoth).
They are usually light to dark grey in color, have long antennae, are wingless, wiggle when they walk, and are nocturnal. They do sting people (various sites note that the sting is "not that bad")..
They can live for a shocking 2 - 8 years (so says Wikipedia..so consider the source), and congregate around faucets, drains, basements, damp, musty or leaking areas. They consume carbohydrates and avoid the sunlight and light.
Silverfish are present in storage rooms or amongst old furniture/belongings = usually dark, damp areas. They are found around bathroom and kitchen sinks = a leak or crevices that require patching and sealing. All shampoo bottles and liquids should be capped tightly, all surfaces scrubbed with orange oil cleaner (deters insects but not harmful to people or animals) and searching for signs of more silverfish is necessary. They will chew through wallpaper, clothing, paper and books.
Silverfish have been on planet earth for over 300 million years, give or take.

Bugs are collectable items in the Animal Crossing series. Players can catch them with a net. They can be donated to the museum, sold to Tom Nook, or placed in the player's home inside a Bug Cage, like a piece of furniture. Most of them are worth a lot less than most fish at Tom Nook's store. A large amount of insects will only emerge during the Summer, a few unique species emerge in Autumn and Spring, and there are almost none during the Winter...
