I'm contemplating whether or not to buy. I like the specs, but is it worth the money?
I'm looking to use it for gaming and engineering soft-wares.
Also, looking at the pictures, I don't see a built in driver?

The best thing about that laptop series is that it is very thin and can last.
However, you can find those same specs on the dv6t/dv7t/dv8t Quad Edition Series.
Why not just get those for cheaper and be able to upgrade to a much better RAM, HardDrive, processor, etc. with that extra gap of money?
I believe the only reason to pay extra for the envy is, if you don't want an extended keyboard with the number pad and if you want an ultra thin laptop.
I'm glad you are smart and chose HP, though.
And don't worry. The dv Quad Series are good for gaming too. You just need better graphics card if you want to play games like L4D 2 or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 at high settings.
The same thing goes for the Envy Series anyways.
