I know Mario is supposed to look into the light in the entryway of the mansion to get to the ? switch, but when I do that nothing happens. It just says "Hey...Mario...." and that's it. What's the deal?. Created by lowerrooms. games-recreation-import - video-online-games-import

i had the same problem too when i played as mario. what i did was i went and did a couple of missions and tried again at the sun place to try and go to the ? tower, and it worked. why not try that :)
