Im studying for a test and I have no idea how to do these:
(n^3 + 13n^2 + 26n - 49) divided by (n + 10)
going to try this out the pest way i can.
n+10|n^3+13n^2=26n-49
|= the division bar. lol.
first, youre going to take the equation (the one i jsut set up) and divide it by n. what times "n" gives you n^3? n^2. so now here goes my try again.
_n^2____________
n+10|n^3+13n^2+26n-49
n^3+10n^2
(minus)--------
3n^2
(for the second step, i took 10 and multiplyed it by n^2.) the rest goes along the same guidelines.
_n^2___3n___-4______
n^3+10n^2 (bring down 26n)
-____________
3n^2+26n
3n^2+30n (bring down 49)
-__________
-4n-49
-4n-40
9
so if im right (forgive me if im not) the answer should be n^2+3n-4+(9/n+10)
don't know if im right or not if this is what youre looking for but hope i helped
