Brock Lesnar is under Contract, WWE just hasn't written a storyline for him.
Rob Van Dam is under Contract, WWE just hasn't written a storyline for him.
Chris Jericho may or may not be under Contract. Chris Jericho said in an interview yesterday that he is pretty busy right now, but is open to working for WWE if they have something for him to do. So far, WWE hasn't discussed anything in particular with Chris Jericho.
If you must know, Lesnar has a part time deal and it is in his contract he only needs to make limited appearances and do a few matches! WWE will probably have a big match at Wrestlemania for Lesnar and then he will make a few appearances on Raw to promote it!
RVD had a short term contract, it was what it was, a 6 month deal sort of thing, and is currently not under contract with WWE! If I had to guess, he is off somewhere getting high, until he is ready to come back to WWE!
Jericho also has other projects, you can listen to his podcast every wednesday on www.podcastone.com! He hasn't said when he will return and seems kind of annoyed that people ask him that so much!
Two of those guys are also in their 40s, they just can't do the wrestling thing forever and I hope that doesn't sound disrespectful to them, but it is just a fact and I'm sure they would tell fans the same thing! Really, people are lucky to get to see them do their thing in the ring at all because most atheletes are retired by the time they are in their 40s!
They are all taking time off from wwe currently. As of right now lesnar will come back the soonest probably but as wwe wrestlers get to a certain age they need to take time off in order to do other careers or relax
