I'm having my first meet in a few days. and I'm wondering what should i eat. is there anything that'll help my stamina? or any proteins in food that can help me out? also, can any1 also tell me any workout plans for running? <----- this is optional to answer :)

No just eat normally. If you can eat some more carbs the night before the race, it will help you. Dont have a heavy breakfast in the morning right before the race. Start drinking lots of water and avoid excess sugar at all costs. Just train hard-cross country is all about endurance and the only way to increase is through running regularly. For your workout plans, get used to running more than your race distance(more than 3 miles). Also, if your feeling bored with your endurance training, do some sprints on the track, It will help you with that kick at the end of the race. Good luck and remember-running is all mental.
