Your own question answered itself. What word is in front of SEALs? Navy! Good job! Now that is one of the branches of the military. Now what are the Marines? A branch of the military! So there is your answer. But there are maybe a handful or so who were in the Marines first, then enlisted in the Navy and then made it into the SEAL's, and they say your a Marine for life, BUT they are not a active duty Marine while in the Navy SEALs.
Sorry for the sarcasm. Hope this answered your question.
A lot more than these retards think. I use to work for a government contractor that posted security for the state department in Iraq so believe me when I say ive seen about 87 life times worth of DD-214s. A good portion of the Navy SEALs --->ARE<--- and never will cease to be United States Marines because lets face it you pull SEAL candidates from th men's department of the navy.
hypathetically let's say they did convert...for one the navy can suck their own *****...and if a Marine wants to trade over to the Navy, let him, He's gonna be one of two things after that happens and thats either a homo or a traitor.

None ! The Navy no longer has Marines participate in SEALS ! The Marine Corps has its own elite corps, it's called Force Recon !

Who knows. I would say its a very low number as in less then 10 percent.
You have to leave the USMC first before you can try out for SEALS. So there are no active Marines who are SEALS.
None, you can't be a Marine if you are in the Navy.
Marines cannot try out for BUD/S (navy seal training). SEALs cannot try out for the Marines.

THERE ARE NO STATISTICS THAT I KNOW OF
ON WHAT PERCENTAGE OF MARINES LEAVE THE NAVY AND JOIN UP THAT BECOME SEALS
CALL YOUR LOCAL NAVY RECRUITER AND ASK THEM
Zero.
