We have not talked for 6 months now. We were close friends for 6 years. I realize now that she was very abusive toward me and not a real friend.
She tells everyone that I burned her, and everyone believes her, but when I tell my side of the story people say that she burned me worse.
How long should it take for me to get over a long friendship?

Have the last laugh by never talking to her again.
Who cares what they think! The fact that you "tell your side of the story" indicates you haven't reached that wonderful level of maturity when you don't give a $h!t! Surround yourself with different people, with mindsets, interests and desires similar to yours. There are 100's of people in the world waiting to have a fantastic friendship with you! Why worry about what a few think? Think big, expand your mind, and never worry about the "little things" (<--I got that from "Point of No Return")
Just let it go. You shouldn't be gathering people to agree with you. They are likely sick of hearing about the fall out between two friends. Make some new friends and next time one that is not abusive.
sometimes u dont get over long friendships because youll always remember and think of that person because you knew them for so long. its just best to stay away and find a new bf.
Yikes! DO mean burned as in fire! DONT BE HER FRIEND!
