Well we start getting in the mood for Christmas around Thanksgiving. The evening of Thanksgiving we all pick names for secret santas(we do this cuz were such a big family.) Its not really secret cuz we know who has us and everything but whatever.
We go Christmas shopping whenever. I know we've already bought some Christmas presents!
Every year a few weeks before Christmas, we go for a weekend away to a Christmas party about 3 hours away from our house. That's a big thing and a big tradition.
We set up our Christmas tree around that time(a few weeks before Christmas) and also all the decorations sometime in December.
ill type more later...my family is having company today and i gotta go help get ready:)
im back...still waiting for our company to get here...
We put the tree in the living room and put our stockings around the stairs and walls. We have one stuffed animal mini snowman for each family member. We put special Christmas handtowels out. And a bunch of other Christmas decorations too.
We all get out of school a few days before Christmas.
We don't go caroling but some of the kids have Christmas concerts at school that we go to.
We always set the tree up at dinner time while drinking this punch we only get twice a year (tree decorating day, and Christmas day itself) and eating bunches of appetizers. We visit my grandparents a few days before Christmas and hang out and eat a bunch of cookies and sweets. On Christmas Eve my parents give my brothers and I ornaments. We still leave cookies and milk for Santa. No one can go out to the tree, presents, and stockings until everyone is up and ready (when we were little, that would be when my parents SAID everyone was up and ready. Now we just set a time). Christmas morning we open our stockings all together, eat breakfast, then open gifts one at a time.
I live in Malta, a small island in the Mediterranean sea. Basically Christmas for us here means family and faith.
We decorate like everyone mainly, with Christmas tress, lights etc, but we have the tradition of the cribs, (small ornaments of the cave in Betlehem) and the manger with Jesus, where you find one in every home.
We love to cook Christmas cakes and logs and we eat stuffed turkey as well on Christmas Day.
We visit the midnight mass between Chirstmas Eve and Christmas day, filled with carols and lights, where there is a paegent and a sermon by a small child, where he acts as a kid from Jesus' times!
My grandma and I bake Sugar cookies every year. we put the tree up the first weekend in December. We watch a different Christmas special every night in December. I watch the Polar Express every night. For dinner on Christmas Eve we have things like Nachos, chicken wings, cheese and crackers, stuff like that. We usually open our gifts on Christmas Eve, and spend the day on Christmas cooking and spending time with each other. My mom and I usually wrap presents together.
well my 4 year old will come into the bedroom to open his pillowcase of small presents from Santa .Then we get up and open the presents up downstairs usually with the 13 year old . We normally have breakfast and get the 4 year old dressed then we the grownups open our presents and normally have a drink and a slice of stollen. Then we go round to the inlaws for dinner as i dont like cooking. Then it is just family time .When we get home i am starving and normally start on the chocs !!!!!!!!!

everyone opens their presents at different times but you have to make sure EVERYONE saw what you got :)
My family has two fake trees. We put one up in our family room a few days before Thanksgiving, and we put up one in front of our porch window about three weeks before Christmas. On Thanksgiving, my whole family comes to our house, and we have a secret santa drawing so that we have until Christmas to make a gift, and yes, we have to make it ourselves, we cant buy it. The Saturday following Thanksgiving, my grandma comes over and her, me, my sister, and my mom bake cookies all day. My mom and dad, my sister, and me all go caroling like a week before christmas with out church group. On Christmas Eve me, my sister, and my mom and dad all go to Church around eight o'clock p.m., then we come back and my grandma comes over and we turn on christmas music and roast marshmellows in our fireplace, and put them in homemade hot chocolate (yummyyy!). Then we each open one gift of our choosing, read The Night Before Christmas together, and go to bed. Christmas day is hectic. My mom and grandma wake up at 6 a.m. and make chocolate chip cinnamon rolls and coffee, then come wake the rest of us up and we go downstairs and eat breakfast together. Then me and my sister open our stockings, and pass out the presents to everyone. We all open our gifts one at a time in like a circle, then we get ready and go to my aunts house for dinner. After dinner, we give our secret santa presents, then go home, and watch a Christmas movie and go to bed(:
