don't take anything. when we take things sometimes we are unaware of the little tics or things our body does when we ingest them. For instance, Ibuprofen is strong on the stomach and can cause stomach ulcers, sometimes our stomachs get funny after such a medicine but we don't normally notice this when we take it because we aren't focused on it. How does this apply? you have to stay VERY still during a tattoo and your breathing has to remain rhythmic and well timed so the artist can do a good job. don't take anything for risk of added squirming, pain, discomfort, or accentuated muscle spasms etc. It would be best to just go and tough out the pain, bring a close friend to help calm you and talk to you during the time. The tattoo won't feel too much like a needle, to me when i've gotten mine its more of a burning sensation. you'll do just fine! tough it out, it'll be worth it!

I wouldn't take anything, you probably don't want to hear this, but you might just have to bite your lip and suffer through it. Ibuprofen is a blood thinner, therefore it might make you bleed easier.
