I have a question about 200m dash. Im getting better at 100 meter so Im pretty happy where I am in that, but my 200 meter dash is terrible...Not trying to pin it ALL on the coach but we dont train for that enough in my opinion...yet other sprinters seem to do fine in it. Long jumpers and mid distance ppl who dont even do sprints excel in it. Is that partially because they run 200m and 150m and 400m for practice on a daily basis? Would it help my 200 if I did this? Any other tips?
Also I would like to start another event like long jump. Im not tall (5'7) but I can run quick to get a good speed on the running platform or whatever. Should I try it out? If so what should I know and do to kind of be good at it?
Thanks!!

Run pyramids. Go 100m,200m,300m,400m,300m.etc. Most 100m runners also excel in the 200m, so you probably have a problem with endurance. You are not used to running that far of a distance. You should always run workouts that are more distance than your actual race. Also, generally sprinters are better at long jump than distance runners, due to the fact that they have more muscle. I am a sprinter, and I also do lj and tj. Give it a shot
