need help figuing out how much i need inorder to pass this subject!!?? i will choose a top answer rightaway!!!?
so all up I had 4 assignments and an end exam, i want to know how much i will need on my exam to pass the subject, to pass i need to average 50% OVERALL
assignment 1 is worth 5% of my overall mark (i got 20% -.- )
assignment 2 is worth 20% overall ( i got 65%)
assignment 3 is worth 10%overall (i got 62.5%)
and assignment 4 is worth 10% overall (i got 54%)
and the exam is worth 55% overall
how much would i need on the exam to pass??? ofcourse im aiming for my highest, im just curiuos

Assignment 1 will give you 5% of 20%
5% = 1/20
Therefore it will be 20% x 1/20 = 1% of the total
Assignment 2 will give you 20% of 65%
= 65% x 1/5 = 13%
Assignment 3 will give you 10% of 62.5%
= 62.5% x 1/10 = 6.25%
Assignment 4 will give you 10% of 54%
= 54% x 1/10 = 5.4%
Total so far = 1% +13% + 6.25% +5.4% = 25.65%
To reach 50% you need 50% - 25.65% = 24.35% from the exam
Your exam will give you 55% of E% = 24.35%
Therefore E% x 55/100 = 24.35%
E% = 24.35 x 100/55 = 44.28%
44.28% is the minimum you will need to get in your exam (to two decimal places).
The best overall figure (with 100% in your exam) you can achieve is
55% + 24.35% = 79.35%
