I HAVE TWO PHOTOES THAT I WANT TO BLEND INTO EACH OTHER, IN A NATURAL WAY.
But how do I go about doing this? is there a better software out there that can do this, or do you know how?
PHOTOSHOP IS OUT THE QUESTION, TOO MUCH $$$

There shouldn't be a huge difference with PS, it all depends how you want to "blend" those images.
Basically if you want hard edges use a hard eraser, if you want soft edges use a soft eraser...
Also lightning is very important, both images should have similar lightning, like angle color, amount, shadows, etc... You can't change the light angle, but maybe disguise it a bit with shadows and highlights, sometimes you can simply mirror the image.
Blurriness/sharpness and noise of both images is important. Both of them should be as similar as possible.
One trick is to add a bit of noise to the final image, that way it'll look more like a single image.
Search Youtube for "gimp (or photoshop) blending tutorial", the process is very similar in both programs.
