My push lawn mower will start, after pulling about 10 times and run for about 10 - 15 seconds and then shuts off. Is this something I can fix. What would I expect to pay to have it repaired.
All the above answers seem pretty good. You should do a general tune-up. New/Clean air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, fuel lines, carburetor kit, good premium gas, change oil, change spark plug... it most likely just needs some tlc
Make sure it has enough gas first because a lot of mowers won't work unless there's a certain amount of gas in the tank. Check to see if you have a loose belt, the motor will run, but once you move the mower it'll shut off. If the belt is off, put it on or get a new one.
I would say you have a dirty filter on the tap at the tank. You are getting a mini um of petrol through that then cuts out to clean it remove the tap and blow clean its filter also look at your fuel cap is the air hole in the top blocked it must be open as air goes in as petrol goes out to the engine ~~
dirty carb--take it off and take it apart and clean good, blow through all the jets with compressed air , put back together and it should be fine--one grain of dirt clogging a jet can cause it to act that way

2 common problems are the filter and spark plug. Clean them first.
