Do people like Jared think that they win arguments by ignoring dissenting opinion?
Do people on yahoo answers think that blocking any opinions that differ from their own think that they win arguments that way? Most recently I was blocked by a user named Jared, apparently he didn't like my answer so he blocked me so I can no longer answer his questions in the future.
Y/A Conservatives and Liberals, do you try to win people over with your words or is winning for you covering your ears and shouting "I'm not listening!"

No, they do not win arguments that way, they only maintain the same level of intolerance. They listen to the MSNBC pundits, and parrot the propaganda. I do not think many questions are asked to obtain a real answer, they are often put up to rile the other side in some way. Only a percentage of answers are crafted to provide an actual insightful response. Bottom line people come here to duke it out. No blood spilled, no one in jail... people vent and some learn.
I have heard one of my posts quoted by a right wing pundit, almost word for word. Average joe's are not the only ones that read these posts. It's open to the whole world, and you can bet that even the Chinese are monitoring what goes up here, as well as the Feds. Information, that is a big business.

Just more evidence for my hypothesis that people who flaunt their 'IQ' even going so far as to post it on their profile, usually lack in that area
Absolutely! How do you think America wins it's arguments? Why don't they put third parties into debates? Why don't they report what Russian news says is going on in America?
