can baby monitors pick up E.V.P???
When I put my baby to bed at night I turn his monitor on and bring the parent unit down stairs with me. After a couple of hours I start to hear something moving around in his room and heavy breathing through the monitor. I know for a fact the baby is asleep as I've just been up to check him and the door is closed so its not the dogs!! If it is not supernatural any idea's what it could be??

Update:please could you read the question i know the noise is NOT the baby as he is fast asleep and only 4 months old there for he cannot get out of his cot and move around!!!

If a dictaphone can pick up EVP than I'm pretty sure a baby monitor can!
And also they say that babies, hormonal teenagers, and depressed people attract more spiritual activity than anyone else. Something to do with electro magnetic waves?! I don't know, this is just what I've read...
But very interesting! Try setting up a dictaphone and a video camcorder in the room and see if you pick anything up on them!
(I probably sound like an old croon with all her cats and ghost stories now lol, sorry... This stuff just intregues me!) x
Main thing is_ don't freak out_baby monitors can make strange noises by themselves that sounds similar to a baby crying. I also discovered that they can pick up voices from outside even if you have your windows shut. When my mate had her second child, we lived in an apartment, she had the volume turned up all the way and I could hear people talking who were outside in the parking lot really far away. It could be that it's picking up every little noise from all over. Other things I could hear really good were TVs, radio, my neighbors vacuuming, phone conversations, dogs barking... i really think you should not worry
Maybe a neighbor has some sort of device that runs on the same frequency and you are receiving interference from that. I get that pretty often on my cell phone and my mom gets it on her portable land line. I certainly hope its not evp, im gonna be all freaked out after i have this baby if i start hearing crazy stuff and i dont know where its coming from....you never know though.
Ours does this too! Even when baby is downstairs with us!
We've found moving the units can help.
We even get interference from our neighbours lawnmower!
Our older son finds it highly amusing and thinks there's a "ghost baby on Jack FM" (what he calls the monitor!)
Well I don't mean to scare you but when my Grandfather was dying they moved him into my aunts house. She used a baby monitor in her room up stairs to hear what was going on in his room down stairs. She swears on the night she died she woke up to a sound like angels singing and when she went down stairs to check on my Grandfather he was dead. That story always freaked me out. I know they are very sensitive I even hear the neighbors banging around in their apartment next to my baby's room through the monitor
No, but I am sure someone has imagined it. I use to have a crystal radio (I made it myself) and never heard any ghosts, spirits or anything supernatural. Just good ol' Rock and Roll! But of course, the religious fanatics said it was The Devil's music-- straight out of hell.

Our baby monitor used to pick up next doors baby monitor and we used to hear every word of their arguments before their rather nasty marriage break-up.

i had this also sometimes it picks up things from outside or from other room example next door or something movin about liek a cat outside just picks does one time i even got a taxi radio thro it was quiet funny actually
