last night i think I ate something bad and i started throwing up. I only threw up twice. first at 1:30 am then 3:30 am. right now it's 11:05 in the morning and i havent thrown up ever since. Am i done throwing up? i've been taking sips of water to rehydrate myself. i dont plan on eating anything for a while. when i stand up or walk i feel really light headed. do i need to drink even more water??and i heard gatorade helps with rehydration but i dont know if im gonna throw that up. someone pls help

The whole key to drinking and eating after throwing up, is to take it VERY slowly. Yes, you feel hungry, but your stomach is still irritated. Sipping liquids, like Gatorade or Sprite, for example, means to SIP it. It won't take too many sips before it will either make you puke again or stays down. As for food...soups are a good thing to start with and soups like Chicken Noodle or Chicken and rice are a good place to start...slowly. Chances are, if you can keep sips of liquids down and maybe some soup or even some toast, you are better. Do not be surprised if the diarrhea lasts a little longer...that bad food needs to clear out of there. Hope you feel better soon.
