Would this be considered a fight or assault Ten points for best answer?
So say your standing around at school and someone comes up to you and pushs you and starts talking Sh*t and then they hit you and you guys start fighting, is that considered a fight or assualt? and if its assualt how long would the person who attacked you get for it? btw i am a minor so if there was any police involved it would be juvie not jail.

If someone strikes you, it's assault and/or battery in any jurisdiction in the U.S. A "fight" is not a valid term in the judicial system.
A fight is assault dumy. The charge would be aggravated assault for a first time offender its like warning or community service
