Will eating 700 calories slow my metabolism down?

My BMR is about 1,247 apparently and I heard cutting down 500 calories a day would help me lose 1-2 pounds a week. So if I do cut 500, I'll have 700 calories to eat, and I will try to burn around 500+ Calories when I workout. The thing is, 700cal is low and I don't want to slow my (already slow) metabolism even more down, so would this be okay to do? I'm a 15yr old, btw...
