I'm in college and my parents said I can stay with them as long as I work or go to school. My class doesn't start until 12:00 on some days but we leave every day at 7:00 to get her to work. My brother drives her to work then takes me and my other brother to the campus. His classes start at 8:00 most days. My father had a heart attack recently and doesn't feel safe driving right now. Anyway sometimes I stay behind and my brother will take me to campus later on closer to my class time and he will pick my other brother up while I'm being dropped off. Today my mother asked me if I was staying behind and I told her I wasn't planning on it. She said with a really irritated tone "Of course you didn't talk to your brother about this last night." I told her I didn't talk to him about it because I planned on just going with everyone today. She said "You need to start talking to him about it ahead of time" and she walked away. Then she came by my room about ten minutes later and said "He said he'll take you at 11:30. I said I was planning on going but she just closed the door and walked away. I don't understand why she had this attitude towards me. I was just going to go and wait like I usually do. What's so different about today? I didn't even say anything to her last night or this morning about him taking me.
Update:Both my brothers weren't there so they didn't really hear it. As far as I know, my brother didn't say anything to her and he didn't seem upset about taking me later.

Although it is unfair that your mom is lashing out on you, there is a lot going on right now and she is probably a mix of stressed out, scared, and frustrated. Try to empathize with what she is going through and even though it may seem ridiculous, try to just set plans out in advance. At the end of the day, she was not mad at you, or at you not making plans; it probably translates to there being no plan when your father had a heart attack and now she wants everything set out beforehand so she can deal with it. It's a coping mechanism and it will help her feel better if you comply. I hope that everything works out, and I hope I helped at least a little!
Sometimes mom's have those additional when they don't like the was you have been acting or even just when they are stressed out and very picking. Does your brother stand up for you?
Your brother might have mentioned it to her this morning. He might have asked her if she knew if you were going with them or not so she got annoyed that she had to ask you. It isn't a good reason for her to act that way but it's the only thing that I can think of.
Maybe she just lost her patience. Dont stress it. Maybe your behavior just added to the stress in her life. Remember, shes got at least 3 kids. Maybe your brother bitched to her. Maybenshes just crabby, irritated and overwhelmed.
