What should i do when my 4 year old acts up bad?!?
I Have an autistic 4 year old daughter who throws fits alot! She is going to summer school right now to help her out more...when she comes home after school she can be very awnry and sometimes in a bad way...she throws things across the house and brakes them...Sometimes i cry and lock myself in the bedroom for a while and have my husband watch her because i can't deal with it...I never do spank her because i don't believe in spanking...when i was a child my step father was mean to my sister and me alot so i know how it would hurt my daughter and don't do it...i putt her in time out and walk away for a while and sometimes cry...there are days also she throws big fits in the store for no reason out of the blue...i have to leave the grocery store in 2 sec. because of her screaming and throwing things out of the car, I feel like the whole store is looking at me somtimes...I will be getting her more testing done in august comming up and im trying the best i can!! thanks

Be patient with her. Learn as much as you can from other parents of autistic children and organizations who deal with them on how to discipline her and deal with her tantrums. Just remember also that she can't help it and being patient helps. Good luck!
there are a whole lot of autism forums and websites- take some time and do your research on it. Join an autism parents club (online or even better- group meetings!) She needs very specific care (esp routine and consistency and patience!!!). Autistic children can be taught to behave in public in their way. Kudos to you for understanding that spanking will not help her behavior but at the same time, she can still have discipline. As a mom, I know sometimes you have to step back and sometimes you have to cry it out- but you HAVE to be strong/steady in front of her and be consistent- if you break down then it fuels her frustration. Learn how to help her communicate- she throws fits because she's frustrated. Be involved with what she's learning at school- if they are teaching her new ways of communicating certain things and you don't understand what she's trying to tell you- it will trigger more frustration (ie more acting out). Keep communicating with the doctors and teachers and stay positive :)
I think you need to find a autustic child support group. Although she is autustic, how advanced is she. If she has a mild case, why not spank. Not beat. Using the proper techquine, it is helpful. Dont spank in anger, and explain why she is being punsihed, and provide a positive out for her anger. Maybe trowing water balloons at the sidewalk, hitting the baseball(or softball ) in the yard. Austic children are specail, they have diffrent ways of learning. All in all I think you need a support group for mothers of austic children. You can probally find a support group online at cafemom.com, or at your local YMCA, community center or Dept of children and families or WIC office.
seems such as you're doing the suited issues in basic terms carry your floor, and eventually she'll pass out of that area. She feels like a 4-300 and sixty 5 days-previous. determine you clarify to her why she is being spanked or sent to timeout, and which you're no longer intense and are calm once you spank.
just try and level with her. get on her level and let her know that she doesn't need to act up to be understood. perhaps you could look into changing her diet as well to one with less sugar and artificial preservatives.
and also, spanking doesn't hurt. but don't go overboard. she should have a little fear in her when she goes to do something that she knows is wrong. just make sure she understands why she's getting spanked.

yeah dont hit her ..she has mental probs she cant help it..You wouldnt hit a puking kid either...Cry nothing wrong with crying ..what doesnt kill you makes you stronger . Learn these lessons so you can teach others later on down the road
